Sexual abuse is when someone gets you to do something sexual with them that you don’t want them to do . This can mean that either they get you to do something sexual to them, or they do something sexual to you. It doesn’t necessarily have to be sexual intercourse, it may be just touching you in a way that you don’t like or getting you to touch them in a way that you don’t like. IF YOU DON’T WANT IT TO HAPPEN OR THINK THAT IT IS WRONG – TAKE ACTION NOW.
What to do if you think you are being sexually abused:
If this happens to you then say firmly ‘NO I DON’T WANT THIS’. If they persist tell them that you will tell someone about them and then get up and go away from them. If they threaten you, take no notice, but immediately tell someone else that you trust like your parents, or a teacher, or a family relative.
Do it now – don’t wait till later. The main things is to do this as soon as it happens otherwise, once it gets to happen regularly you may feel
that you can’t tell anyone.
